She pops in on occasion and gives her opinion about the quote and art but that's about it. While she honestly annoys the piss out of me and I believe that she is finding excuses to be fat, she is probably one of the most polite people to debate with.

oh yeah, there is a big difference between being happy in your own skin, and being unhealthy by being overweight. I am unhappy in my skin because I am overweight, but if you are overweight and you are happy, good for you, but I am doing something about being unhappy in my own skin. Thats another thing that annoys me, people that say I am so fat, I dont like the way I look, but do nothing about it.

The argument that comes up over and over is that all shapes and sizes of people deserve happiness. I don't disagree. There is a big difference between being fat and just being a happy content person and being fat and being happy about being fat.

Can I just say, I love that you are doing these.

All people should strive to be fit. Being physical and using your body the way it was mean to be used should be higher up on everyone's priority list.

I voted Love/Love because I believe the quote speaks to the perception=reality proposition, which I believe is quite true. I also like the picture, because I think the human body is an amazing machine capable of remarkable things.

I don't do research to support an unhealthy lifestyle (the research I have found sites physical activity as the #1 predictor of health. Not sure how that is supporting an unhealthy lifestyle. There is also some research that says dieting is only 2-5% effective and yo-yo dieting causes negative health outcomes. Again, not supporting an unhealthy lifestyle).. I don't advocate unhealthiness. In my own life, the pursuit of health is quite important. The misunderstanding happens quite frequently because I don't put qualifiers on self-love/self-acceptance, which is an important aspect of overall health.

I am not finding an excuse to be fat and my happiness is not derived from my fat. There is a mental disconnect going on. There is a big difference between loving/accepting yourself in the present and giving up on your life.

Sorry for being adversarial in your post, I just felt the need to present my side of things since it became the topic of discussion.
