I prefer Nia , Naia or Nyah - I love the name, and the meaning is beautiful ("purpose" in swahili). But I don't care fir your spelling at all - too confusing and overdone.

Layla is beautiful, but it's way too popular for me at the moment.

You may also like Alia / Alaia (ALL-ee-ah and ah-ly-ah) and maybe Soraya (sor-ay-ah, it's Arabic and refers to the Taurus constellation of stars).

And I did like Layla but it is really popular right now, I think its on the top 100 names? That was part of the reason I was thinking about Naia. Well when I see her I hope I know which of the two to pick.

Laila was one of the top contenders for my son 3 years ago - I think it's beautiful, but the popularity really put me off. According to the social security list, it's sitting at number 33 and has jumped up quite a bit over the past 6 years or so.
