I think Niya or Nya or even Naya would be a better alternative. The H just seems unnecessary in Nhiya. So two middle names or a variation of Mary? Like Nya Marie or Nya Marianne? I think it just sounds choppy cause all the names have two syllables and Mary and penny end with the same sound

And when you add in letters to make it 'unique', it's scrabble.

It does sound choppy that's why idk how to use Mary in her middle name. But it's for my dad so I'm trying to figure something out

I think the only way you could make it work is to use a variation of Mary, but if you're not open to using anything else good luck with the name!

instead of trying to use Penny could you do Penelope? or a variant of Mary?

I like both names. I'd never name my child Layla only because it was my kittens name lol, but I do like the name. Nhiya is a horrid spelling though. It's not a legitimate name, but I have heart it several times. If you are really admit about using it consider spelling it Nia, Naia, or Nya. They are much more appealing to the eye.
Also, you said you want to use Mary (Mair-ee), how about Marie (Mare-ee) instead? It makes it sound far less choppy.
Layla Marie Penny Or Nia Marie Penny. It still doesn't flow too well, but how often do you plan on introducing her by her first, middle and last name?
