this is my 5 week ultrasound.

that little black thing was the gestation sack.

It sounds and looks like a blighted ovum   Sorry, your body may still think its pregnant when actually nothing but the sac developed. I had to have one removed at 11 weeks. I still felt pregnant, had morning sickness ect.

oh shoot I thought that was hers! doh, but it sorta does because thats all a blighted ovum is, an empty gestation sac though I'm sure if I looked closely at yours you'd see the stem ect.. sorry

And sorry OP for the confusion.
What would happen in a blighted ovum is the sac would keep growing and growing. My last u/s was at 10 weeks and the sac was larger than that pic, almost double the size but still empty.

maybe you were pregnant with twins and you are miscarrying one and your body is keeping the other. thats very common.

Thanks ladies for the input. Guess I just need to call Dr office to see what's going on.
