Diaper changing is always a battle

Okay, my 11 monther gives me such a hard time EVERY time I change his diaper. It's so frustrating!! Anyone else's child do this? He literally cries and screams the whole time I'm changing him. He tries to escape, kick, roll, you name it! I'm just wondering if this is a normal baby thing and what I can do to help the matter.

My daughter does this. Now that she talks she even tells me "Get off me mama! Get off!" lol. It's horrible.

the little boy I baby sit does that. has since birth. I give him something to play with. It's a little easier when his mom has the pull on diapers. most of the time I just have to change him FAST or he will scream bloody murder.

My daughter is 10 months and does the same thing plus scream LOL. This has been going on since 7 months.  

My son is 23 months and he is so difficult to get in a diaper or clothes. My only hope is that one day soon he'll start potty training

Lol okay well I feel a little better then. And feel sorry for us all. I'm just always in awe when I see the babies that just lay there peacefully while they get changed.

J is 16 months and does this. It started at about 10 months. I used to be able to give her a toy and that would suffice. Now I have to give her my phone as a distraction. Then I've got about 5 minutes before she's had it.LOL!

distractions... my son is terrible without them... but a dream on a changing table which I dont have...

It was a phase for us, I used boards books or a favourite toy as a distraction.

My LO has just turned 1 and has done this for the last couple of months. I dread having to change his nappy and if I say to him, nappy change he now runs off.

I now tend to pop his changing mat on the floor and keep patting it, eventually LO will come and sit on it and if I am quick enough we hardly have any crying or screaming.

Hate the first nappy change and his nappy change after his bath as he is not making the decision to get on the changing mat. You would think I was murdering him with how he screams!!!

Glad I am not the only one going through this.

DS is 8 months and always crawls away from me when I'm trying to change his diaper, same thing happens when changing his clothes lol

Both my kids have done this, lol. My daughter did it right up until she was potty trained. Hoping my son quits before then.
