Oh my...I thought 13 was a huge difference. I don't believe that age is an issue but I often would think things like....

He was 13 when I was born
He was getting wasted when I was eating baby food
He lost his virginity when I was in diapers

It always turned me off. Now I'm with someone three years older than me and I'm smuch happier. I dated a veery immature 36 year old

Yhea thats one of the ideas of talking about. Its hard to date an older man/women who have nothing to talk about with ur friends. I have oldet friends who are around 27-67 yrs and he gets along with them. I have never had younger friends or bf. Good luck

Yes. I think about that, too.

Like how he is going to be 65 when LO graduates.
He was getting out the Army when I was a newborn.
He also has a son 3 years younger than me and it is real awkward around his son's mother since she is the same age as him. I could imagine what she was thinking when she met me for the first time. lol

Then there is the whole thing when people come out and ask he is my dad.   My dad is actually 39. lol.

He came to scoop me and LO up at my friend's house and my friends 4 year old ran over to me and yelled "Jessie, Your dad is here!" I died. lol

Omg....I'm so sorry mama I would be so embarrassed! That's crazy that he's older than your dad though! How does your dad handle that?

It is embarrassing, especially when I correct them and they give him a nasty look or comment. I want to scream at them how I asked him out.


My dad is really cool about it. He came down to meet him about two years ago and was just concerned about me being happy and making sure I knew I wasnt "stuck."

My mother is a different story. She can't stand him really ((never gave him the chance.)) But they live across the country so I don't have to deal with her very often.

23 years difference. I was 19, him 41 and I sometimes wish we were still together. Maybe in the future, but once my separation goes through, I'm sticking with a 20+ year difference. I like my old men.

You will be called one at some point. If you date someone in their 40's, they will say he is having a midlife crisis. It's a social stigma, but if you really love someone, it's easy to get over.

How big of an age gap are you looking at? Anything more than 10 years is considered an age gap relationship.

If you like him, go for it. DH and I are working on a legal separation and the guy I was talking about is divorced. In a few months, he's getting a phone call.

He's older than my parents, has grey hair, and turns 50 this year. But, while most women my age think it's creepy, I love it.

If you are ready to settle down and don't mind the stares, go for it.
