My son and I loved his. When I needed to clean I'd pop him in for a little bit and he'd go to town. We lived in a one level home with no stairs anywhere, not even on the front porch or back porch so I didn't need to baby gate any areas.

We love ours. Ours has the snack tray which makes a great high chair in a pinch, as the highest height setting keeps him immobilized at this point. We live in an apartment with no stairs and we have an open floor plan with a door on our hallway so there is nowhere for him to hide...especially when he goes backwards slow as a turtle. He tries to go forwards ...but thengoes backwards and cries his little butt off because he is frustrated so it is a work in progress.

I think his balance is improving with it. He was at the lowest height setting today and he was standing on his own without his butt in the seat, so I think its a foot in the door as far as strengthening his legs go. When he gets tippy he just sits and stands up again. Vs in his play yard. He hangs onto its sides, lets go, falls on his butt and after a couple times cries in frustration.

I wish they were not illegal here in Canada.   lol but they are. Due to the stupid people of the world who don't know how to use and supervise their children properly.

Its just like anything can be dangerous. Without proper parental supervision and lack of brains. Lol

With that said, DD now 4 loved her's drove to the states just to buy one. Lol wish I had one for Chloe. (8 months) but since she is only 24 inches long it would be.useless she wouldn't touch the floor lol

Because they are a leading cause of head injuries AND because they can actually inhibit walking skills and delay walking

Even if a person has no stairs in the house, they can still tip and trip over imperfections in the floor and stuff.

I don't know about the "making babies bow legged" but I do know that it doesn't help them learn to walk at all.

The way I look at it is a few minutes a few times a day is not going to hurt the babies legs. Dr's agree. (here anyways) but some parents like to leave babies in them including jumpers and saucers for prolonged periods of time. Then of course it may lead to issues pertaining the growth and mobile abbilities to the legs of a young infant.

Always going to be some problems from everything IMO.

Leave a baby a long time in a chair (bouncy) highchair or stroller they get flat head which causes problems. Are we going to ban them as well? Leaving a baby fopr prolonged amount of time sitting causes issues with the legs as well. Its all about being aware of are babies and being smart and NOT a lazy parent...kwim?

My opinons but whatever. lol

My lo is 8 months and has terrible flat head. lol on her right side only. She sleeps 12 hours a night since birth and will only sleep with her head to the right. I have done everything the Dr's said to do and nothing is helping her. lol

But she recently started tummy sleeping so I hope that helps. We will no in a month.   lol or its a helmet for her. lol

LO never sleeps in the day and still wakes every 3 hrs at night, he also has always loved to be held and sat up because of silent reflux, thats probs why he doesnt have flat head lol.

lol
yeah mine 12 hours at night since birth (or 10 hours ) lol and she naps from 12pm to 4pm everyday. She loves her sleep. lol And I like it too. lol

Mine hates to be held   she has been holding her own bottle since 3 months old lol just so no one will hold her. If you do she takes the bottle out of her mouth and throws it on the floor. But if you put her in her chair and give her her bottle she will drink it. lol she is Miss Independant lol
