Breastfeeding poll :)

posted 10th Oct
3 months today   I know some mommas will say they've been doing it for longer but I'm just proud of myself for sticking with it, especially as we had a rough start as DS had tounge tie and also most of my friends bottle feed their kids and think breastfeeding is gross!

Poll time: how long did you EBF?
Just curious
If you currently are EBF just put how long you have been doing it for.

well I EBF my son for 5 months and he was breastfed/ pumped and fed until 13 months with complimentary foods.
My daughter (other then 2 months while I was in the hospital and she got formula and donor milk) was "EBF" until 7months and then breastfed with complimentary foods until I got pregnant when she was 19 months, then took a hiatus until 2 months after I miscarried and started again steadily until she was 2+ years. until my next pregnancy when I weaned her and has now started occational breastfeeding (like every couple of days will ask for her boobie) since I miscarried again. I am damn proud too that I breastfed for as long as I did, especially with my daughter - most people would have given up if they were in hospital that long

My little one is 4 weeks today and we've been breast feeding from day 1 and I don't see an end in sight. I'm pretty proud of myself since I wasn't going to breast feed at all.

yes the pedi told me to spoon feed him a couple of spoonfulls after feeds because of severe silent reflux. havent you ever heard of people being told to give their babies rice cereal for reflux?

Never at 3 months. My son had reflux as well and it was something he grew out of. babies bellies can't digest grain at that age.

I EBFed my son until 7 months. And just fully weaned him a couple months ago at 2 1/2. He had been on night nursing only since about 18 months though.
