41 weeks+ and thinking about c-section

im currently 41 weeks 1 day and nowhere near labour,i had my membranes stripped yesterday and it felt like my insides where being wripped out,my cervix is way back and midwife could only get a fingertip in,she said to go back in 2 days to have t done again but im going to refuse because it hurt that bad,seeing as im NOT progressing can i opt for c-section?? my whole body aches day in day out and i have 4 hours maximum sleep a day and my body is refusing to progress on its own,i feel so bruised from the membrane strip,i know c-section carries risks but i really feel that its the best option for me.

just need some advice please

Why not induction?

I would do an induction before going straight to a csection.

Just get induced..idk

  That is major surgery and it is hard to care for a new born after going through a c section.

Put it this way, no good Dr will give you a c-section. 41 weeks is not a reason to have a c-section. They will try an induction first and if that doesnt work then you'll go in for one.

41 weeks still isn't over due, you may go into labor tomorrow and progress for all you know. To just opt for a csection is ridiculous. I had one and didn't hate it but seriously to pick one because you're sick of being pregnant is pretty lamesauce.

Hell to the no. You think your sore from a membrane sweep.. Imagine major surgery. It's no walk in the part for weeks.
If you go too overdue and want to get things going try an induction first. Vaginal birth even with an epidural is a lot easier on your body.

what all have you tried so far? do you take evening primrose oil or raspberry leaf tea? Have you done acupuncture? I would never just opt for a c-section. Maybe they miscalculated your due date as well.

Why would you want a c section? I don't get that..

only do c section as a last resort , I had one due to complications and you're sore for quite a while .

because here in the uk if you dont progress on your own it leads to c-section as theres less risk.
