I came across someone with this name. Would you think it was Sah-rye, Sah-ray or Sara?

I've always heard it pronounced Suh-rye. Sarah (from the Bible), was Sarai before she became Jewish. I'm assuming that's where they got the pronunciation.

Suh- rye. It is WAY better than the overdone Sarah. I also love Seraphina.

My name in the USA was Sarah (I switched to Audrey when I moved here), my god it's overdone! 4 Sarahs in my kindergarten class and 3 in 1st grade!   I was never the only kid with that name in any grade!!

Seraphina is awesome!

In my class of 43, there were five or six girls name Sarah/Sara, two Hannahs, two Claire/Clares and too many Katies to think of. It is a pretty name, but way too common. Sarah is the 90s Barbara or Mary.

In Novali's class there were three girls named MaFer (Maria Fernanda). And tons of boys named Pablo in the school I was teaching at last year. I think every grade had one Pablo in it! hahaha

It's suh-rye, I'm pretty positive, but I have also met Jewish people who say "sah-rie". My aunt was raised in Israel, so I have come across this a few times. (Her name is Sarit, I've always liked it).

I personally love it, I think it's so exotic and beautiful.

I'd rather be a Sara than a jacked up Suh-rye. That's a horrible name.

Sarai is a very old, beautiful, traditional name.

I find your "taste" to be smurfing HILARIOUS - I see you walking around talking about how people need to use "real names" and when someone pulls out a real name that has deeps roots and a meaning, you have something negative to say even though it's exactly what you walk around advocating. Just admit you are a hypocritical douche bag.

Sarai is in actual name, not a jacked up one! I swear!
