Quoting Stephanie Sodders:" I would really prefer to get a longer-term birth control instead of the pill... but I've heard so many ... [snip!] ... After DD is born, I don't want to have any more kids for a few years, so I can get a house & my life in better order!!"
I am on Depo. I personally don't have any problems with it. Just like any birth control, it is pretty much a trial and error situation. I can't do the pill because it makes me sick. I won't do an IUD. That is just not going to cut it for me. Depo is great for me. No period, no side effects, NOTHING. Some people have constant bleeding. No matter what, not a single birth control causes you to gain weight. It can increase your hunger level but, it is up to you to be responsible.
You might want to talk to your Dr about trying the least invasive types first. The ring, patch, depo, implanon, paragaurd and other forms of IUD.
Good luck finding what works best for you!
