Hmmm.. a lot of that sounds like the hormones in it not cooperating with your body... I've heard a lot of bad things about the Paraguard though, repeatedly..

Well, other than the fact that I have been bleeding since insertion, I haven't had any problems with the Paragard yet. I had my follow up appointment yesterday to make sure it was still in place and my OB was a little concerned about the bleeding. She is pretty sure that between my miscarriage/d&c at 15 weeks in June and the Depo that my body is just out of whack and is just trying to right itself now. She just told me if I am still bleeding in 2 months to come back in to see her.

Is the Paraguard non-hormonal?

Yes its non-hormonal, which is perfect for me since I am not allowed health-wise take anything with hormones in it.

Oh, okay.. I don't think the hormones affect me, really.. but I wasn't sure about it.

i have tried paragaurd... mine did not sit in the proper location shifted and caused a lot of pain.. had to be removed after only 2 monthes because of this

the patch i found too easy to forget

the ring i found uncomfortable

depo i used before baby and am going to be using after( i was on just the pill when i conceived my son) the only down side to depo is if u stay on it for too extended of time period it can have adverse affects and that is something to discuss with a doctor
