A Day Being A Mom.....

I understand a lot of dad's work outside the home. I get it. But your day ends at whatever time you get off work. A mother's job never ends. We are a mom 24/7 when we are tired, sick, hurting, sad, depressed, happy, or moody. We are a mom.

A mother cooks, cleans, does the laundry, bathes the kids, changes diapers, potty trains, helps with homework, etc. We are teachers, nurses, referees, chefs, taxi drivers. There is no job more rewarding, but it is also the most STRESSFUL!

When we ask for your help it is because we are nearing our breakdown point.. We are overwhelmed. We do understand it is our JOB to raise kids and maintain the home. We get that. However, we can only be so strong for so long before we become weak and need someone to help make us stronger again.

When we ask for help, the last thing we want to hear is you mumbling under your breath or sleeping when we are clearly as tired as you are. we cant just sleep whenever. We are moms.

So there, smurf...fold your own laundry and cook your own dinner.

Well, smurf. I work all day. Guess Im smurfing that one up  

AMEN!! They never seem to understand that our job is just as (if not more) hard than theirs is! xo

Thanks! It's my vent. Hubby is in the doghouse today. His laundry is in a pile waiting to be folded. His dinner is...whatever he smurfing cooks.

I'm lucky that my husband comes home and helps. We share responsibilities, even though I'm a SAHM right now. I never used my job as an excuse not to do anything and he doesn't either.

I wish I didn't do all of the above and go to school and work.

I'm lucky and SO is usually really helpful but he struggles to get the concept of what a luxury it is to wake up decide you're not ready to be up and just go back to sleep.

My husband did all the laundry last night, did the dishes, and tidied up the house. I did cook him dinner though.   I know I'm a lucky lady!
