question bout visitation and CS

LO's dad lives 3 and a half hours away from us. We were the ones that moved away so for meeting up for visitation I drive 2 and a half hours and he drives a little over one.... He lost his job and hasnt paid child support in a while and just recently started wanting to see LO after a few month stretch of not seeing her. (he also NEVER calls her or anything so he literally just sees her when its convenient).

Now i've always been one to let her go when he wants her... but after not paying child support in a while... We literally just cant afford the gas to drive that far! I know htat he wont drive any closer either cuz he doesnt have a lisence and wont be able to get anyone to drive him too far....

what would you do? I want to tell him no... but there IS a court order ...

Contact the court to see what they would suggest u do in this situation. If its not in ur agreement that you have to take ur child to see its dad then u wouldnt be violating anything by telling him he has to drive all the way to see the child if he wants to see her.

U'd have to go back to court and since child support and visit's are not together most likely you would still have to drive because you moved and not him... My mom was nice and let them put that they would meat half way when my dad moved. There was a court order but when he moved we found it better for him to get fist dibs on most holidays because a 3 hour drive for an over night stay was not worth it.

No its in the court order that he gets her every other weekend. when we went to court we were supposed to meet half way which was 20 miles away...well my SO got a teaching job 4 hours away... and it would cost a lot of money to go back to court and change the meeting spot
