Candy Apples

I am helping out a bake sale fundraiser this saturday for my friend whos little girl(one month) had open heart surgery two weeks ago. I am just wondering want kind of candy do you put on your candy apples?
Or if there are other treats that would be good to make for it?
I am already making cupcakes.

For candy apples I just like caramel, and maybe some sprinkles or peanuts.

Caramel Apples!!! I always hated any other type of candy on my apple.

Do you know the best way to make them.

Wow I watch Dance Mom's wayyyy too much. Because I totally thought this was about Candy Apple's dance team.


Anywho I would do brownies. I love some brownies. lol or brownie cookies.

Last time I made them I used a box cake mix (red velvet) and cooked it like normal. Then once it cooled I crumbled it into a bowl and added a tub of vanilla frosting. Then formed it into balls and put them in the freezer for like 15 minutes. Then I melted white chocolate pieces (the kind made for candy making. I got mine from Michael's) and got the cake balls out of the freezer. Then I dipped the sticks into the chocolate then stuck them into the balls and dipped the balls into the chocolate. From there you can dip em in sprinkles too, but I colored my white chocolate and didn't want too much color.
I put the dipped cake pops on a wax paper lined cookie sheet then put them in the fridge until the chocolate was hard.

Time consuming, but so worth it

lol brownies are always a good choice.

Brownie cookies are amazing if you feel like making cookies. And they are gooey and amazing!   You just use a box of brownie mix and cut the other ingredients in 1/2.
