re: unusual comfort item

It's really weird and hurts me but it comforts her instantly. Her dad hates it. She is 14 months now and still does it.

i bet it probably would be. DD is getting to the age where she explores my face

lmao mine does that too. but she likes to scratch my teeth. worst feeling ever. lol

My sons "unusual" comfort thing is grabbing and pinching my elbow.  

My daughter will NOT go to sleep unless my husband's t-shirt is in bed with her. At first I put it on the side of the crib so she could smell him while he was gone, but she would always pull it in. She snuggles up with it at night. I think it's so sweet.
