Goulash Recipe?

Isn't it just ground beef and noodles? And tomato sauce/spaghetti sauce. I like to put onions and peppers in it too

How long does it take? I remember my aunts making it as a kid and it took forever for some reason.

It doesn't take too long, just brown the beef and boil the noodles, mix it all together and bam all done lol.

I live in the northwest corner.

Not the classic Hungarian just plain old american LOL. But most of the recipes look soupy and I want it to be thick and hearty

Ok. I brown a pound of burger with 1 diced onion, 1 diced green pepper, fresh minced garlic, oregano and salt n pepper. Cook for like 15 -20 minutes, then add a can of diced tomatoes and a tbls of tomato paste. I start the water for pasta after i add the tomatoes, and i let the sauce simmer while the pasta cooks. I also use crushed red pepper and a diced jalapeno with the burger, but some people dont do spicy.

goulash is just pasta and whatever you hae left in the cabinet to get rid of. at least in my family. we add corn, green beans, carrots, ground turkey, potatoes, spaghetti sauce and rotini or macaroni noodles.
