homemade pedialyte??

okay my 4 year old is sick, and puking.... she isnt really keeping anything down.
i googled and found this.. is this safe? i though salt dehydrated you more??
also i dont have orange juice or jello mix, but i do have some "Mango, orange, carrot " juice, its straight up juiced fruit and veggies, do you think i could use that instead?

i really cant go to the store at the moment since she is soo sick,

Pedialyte is basically water with sugar and salt. That's what we lose when we puke constantly. I'd be real cautious about adding juice to anything though. I think that would be hard on her stomach. If you go by the BRAT diet, stick with apple juice.

pedialyte is a mixture of sodium and sugars you lose when you are dehydrated. you need these things replaced when you are vomiting. and yes, that juice should be fine

juice might really hurt her stomach. Do you have any ice? Ice chips are good

okay cool... just wanted to double check... making some now! my poor baby

Ive made this before seems to work ok if you can get him to drink it! My son hates the taste of it ... the juice might make it taste better! I dont know how much subbing the jello will matter but I think most important is that hes drinking something.
