my friend nick :(

posted 9th Oct
my friend nick lost his life to suicide on june 12 of this year. for 11 days after the incident occured he held on but lost the battle due to the extent of brain damage. i miss him everyday. he was my college roomates boyfriend, and kind of like our apartment boyfriend, he did so much for all of us and never ever complained about anything.. i still can't wrap my head around his death. it was so unexpected!! he left behind his beautiful daughter, his girlfriend, so many friends, family etc. he obviously was dealing with internal conflict that he couldn't get through. i wish we could have prevented it.

satruday i will be walking in his memory in the Out of the Darkness Walk to prevent suicide. so far our team has raised over 550$ in his name, its not much but its a start and a way for us to give back to nick what he did for us while he was here. love ya nick. miss you xox

Sorry for your loss. I know what a sick feeling that is. I have a friend of the family who took her life and another friend who tried to take her life and is now 37 years old and at the level of a small child and will supposedly never regain the ability to care for herself or be like a normal adult. Suicide is something that is very disturbing to me and I feel for someone who thinks that is the only way to feel better. Congratulations on the money you have raised for your walk. It is a great cause.

that's the one we did last weekend... i doubt there's another suicide walk in the same place, that sounds kind of counterproductive.

the one you must have was founded by the samartians...the one i'm doing is for the american foundation for suicide prevention through the Out of the Darkness. definitely not counterproductive when both are raising money for a great case.

yeah i said the samaritans in my previous post. my MIL gets all crazy and makes shirts and stuff for "marks team"

weird that there are two suicide walks at the same place. a week apart. do you live in boston too? we live downtown on the waterfront.

irs really easy to get to. i assume you'll go 93 north to to storrow drive. its ON storrow drive. theres like no turns. storrow drive is a bitch too though. i usually go on memorial drive, across the river in cambridge, then cross down past MIT, near artesani park where the walk is
