Tuesday is cleaning day!

Do any of you have really cool ways you entertain your kids while you clean? Tuesday has become our only day to really clean, and sometimes I just don't want kids near me when I'm scrubbing a toilet. I also don't want the tv on all day - although on tuesdays it is tempting!

We've done sensory bins, and today when my youngest naps I'm going to let my daughter play with the baking soda/vinegar experiment we did at preschool...but what all do you have your kids do? I mean, I know if I was perfect I would always have them right beside me, teaching them how to do it....but whatever, I'm not perfect & I'd like space  

Ideas?

I'm home.with.baby all day so she just plays while I clean up. The other two are in school. Lol

But I do most of my major cleaning at night when they are in bed. Lol

Then on weekends my kids do cleaning too with their set chores. They wash floors vacuum dishes laundry etc....

They have chores every day (even my youngest, although his are easy.) I can't clean at night. I've tried, and I'm just way too tired. Tuesdays are like the only day I have free, we've just gotten so busy during the rest of the week. I just feel so awful if I leave the tv on for too long.

I put cornstarch and different food coloring in a pie dish and add a little water. Keeps him occupied for a long time  

My 3 and 2 yr old clean their room while I clean the bathroom/kitchen.

One day a week is not bad at all for the TV. Our TV is on from 6:30am till about 4am when I go to bed. Kids watch it before school come home.watch it till bed time at 9-10pm every night unless its a sport night then we are not home. Lol they are 4 and 10 yrs old. My 8 month old DD watched TV all day while she is playing on the floor or her jumper etc....its hard to miss all 60 inches of TV in the same room lol

We do stuff like this, my daughter loves it. Unfortunately, my son just throws it on the floor or something.

A friend on my FB gave me some busy bags to try to make for him, I think I should do that sometime and see if any actually interest him. He's just all, "destroy destroy destroy!"

What about cloud sand? How old is he, 2?

He LOVES it. But he is so messy with it   Let me find a picture to give you an idea...



He's just like a little destroyer who will throw it all around. Maybe that's just something I need to get over if I want him to kind of give me space. He does love it, and it entertains for a long time.

Cut some garbage bags to open place under it then on the floor. If he makes a mess you just grab the bags up and dump back in and save the bags to use next time. Lol

I do that for my kids with the moon sand playdough even when they pant. Lol

You should let him do that while you clean!

These were taking at our homeschool co-op where I teach preschool every Monday.   We have fun in there.
