i have a box of 'special toys' that i keep hidden... toys i dont bring out unless i am cleaning, since they dont see them often it is like Christmas lol
This works well with my daughter, my son is a little more complicated

Do you have a food saver? At the preschool where I used to teach we would take small toys ( marbles, army men, etc and hair gel or aloe Vera and seal it in a food saver bag. Kids loved the swishy ness and trying to get the little toys but with zero mess.

The co-op? It's called Classical Conversations, and it's just group of homeschoolers who get together and go through a certain curricula together. I am the "tutor" in the PreCC room, and we're using a set curricula for them. It's fun!
