Omg, see something like that would happen to me. I know that my ex was using oasisactive.com so think I will avoid that one lol. Our conversation from last night is still resonating, so Im still bit iffy at the moment, not so much about joining the site or meeting people because enough ladies have had success or at least had fun with it, but more because I would really like to be at a better place within myself before looking at other people otherwise Im just just at risk of making the same mistakes all over again. Ha ha ha. Yeah exactly... that's why I'm taking time to myself as well. If something pops up, I'm not going to bat it away... and I am on POF.. I have been.... butnever ONCE have I met someone worth talking to.. just people wanting to get laid.

My grandma also met her boyfriend of almost 3 years now on Match.com. I feel like if you pay for the website there will be more people on there looking for something serious.

After my husband and I divorced, I decided to use a dating site, because meeting people was imposssible since I didnt have a car and I had a 4 year old daughter. Once I got a car, i figured i would meet people at some places... which didnt happen. so i decided to use a dating site... I used POF and i met alot of guys on there who were just looking for a hook up or sex. Once of them even had an STD and said that he was just looking for sex even if it gave someone else the std. I met a few good apples though, one I ended up dating more then once and then stopped all connection with the others and decided to give this one a try. 9 months together now, Living together and he is the best father role model subsutitude for my daughter when her father isnt around. He loves me and her with everything he has and it was honestly the best decision I have ever made. You have to go through a bunch of jerk off's before you get to someone who isnt.

All great stories.   I think the moral is you have to really be aware of what jackasses and psychos are out there... but if sane people like us ladies get on there, then sane dudes must be on there too... heck, they're scarce in real life.... probably even more scarce on dating sites. lol

I would reccomend Okcupid. i met my fiance on that site and some pretty good friends to 

I met my fiance on okcupid. I've never been happier with a man than I am with him.

I met SO on POF. I met a LOT of frogs before finally meeting him. He drives me nutso at times, but he is by far the best man I've ever met. A lot of the guys I met on their were, like everyone else said, just looking for sex. And there was a lot of creeps and weirdos too. It definitely does bring confidence up though.
