Themed bedset for 2 year old

posted 9th Oct
My sons birthday is Nov 6 and he will be turning two. He loves Yo Gabba Gabba and I found a bed set I want to get for him. I'm just afraid of him outgrowing it within a few months but he has loved this show since February. Would you get it or would you just do a simple color theme for his new bed set?

My son is still sleeping on the Cars one he's had for almost 2 years. lol He's 3 1/2.

You could always buy the bulk of the bedding in primary colors and then add themed accents, if you were really worried about it.

I just washed and packaged my sons YGG sheets to put up on ebay today lol I got them for him for his 2nd birthday (hes 4 now) and he loveeeeeeeddd them. He still wants to keep em but he got a twin bed so new bedsheets. He used them for like a year on his bed then he got into cars. I think it was worth it for the year tho.

Even if he's not so into YGG (as they go in phase frequently at this age) they are only bedding.. it's not like he'll refuse to use them lol. My son sleeps with plain bedding, he's never talked about or noticed what he sleeps under. I guess i'm saying if you never make a big fuss about his bedding then he's not likely to suddenly say he dislikes it. But then if you're going to make a fuss over putting in on for him to be excited etc i suppose it's more likely to happen. I personally don't want to push commercialization or consumerism/materialism onto him at such a young age so i try NOT to buy much stuff like that. With tv shows he usually likes things for a few weeks/months then goes onto something else, then will sometimes start liking the original thing again alongside other stuff. I'm sure he would continue to use stuff throughout as the novelty of having new bedding would wear off and he'd probably forget about it anyway lol. If you want to buy it, buy it. I like the suggestion of getting plain stuff with accents. I think it can look abit OTT if you buy everything in a range.

up to you. I dont' do themed bedsets.

but, another option I've always done.. solid color comforter, with contrasting color sheets... and pillow cases or decorative pillows on top of the bed. When LO outgrows it.. easier to change.
