my genectic counselour told me the ultra sound only has a 50% chance of finding out because there not always correct in determining and some will show no other lankmarks or indicators and still have it (my cousin had an level 2 ultra sound for the same reason i did and it showed no other indicators but her son was born with mosaic ds there still doing testing to find out for sure what type) so i got the new blood test with it to give me a better idea but everyone has there own choice in what they decide and every doctor or genetic counselour will give u there own opinion i just got it cuz its 99% effective and risk free eased my mind

im not trying to freak u out or nething i just didnt want to get surprised like my cousin did and wanted to be prepared reguardless of the resluts i would of continued my pregnancy and loved my daughter no matter what and still will but the test wasnt avaiable in my area til this past feb thats how new it is its called several different names all u have to do is google new blood test for down syndrome and it tells u everything about it if i was home id have the name of it mine was some werid abervation lol

i had it done when i was 20 weeks u can get it done netime tho
