re: 24 weeks and cramping

UPDATE: I forgot the nurse at L&D lasst night did say something about irritable uterus but I didn't know what that meant. She didn't say thats what it was just said to avoid sex because that can bring it on and asked if I was stressed. So, I went to the OB today, didn't get to see my reg OB. She checked my cervix again, said I'M open a little externally but not internally so it was nothing to worry about. She checked for infection anD I had a vaginal ultrasound and everything appeared normal. I was told to get plenty of rest, no heavy lifting,etc and come back in 1 week. She said it's probably just normal round ligament pain. But, I still feel like it's more than that. This is my second pregnancy and I've had that pain. My crotch has been hurting like crazy for a couple months. but this new pain feels like the worst period cramps EVER! or like contractions without the back pain. IT was almost constant pain but now it's like every couple minutes, it last about a minute then goes away. It feels like my insides are tightening up and my stomach gets hard but not all over. Maybe I have a low pain tolerance but I just wanna lay down and cry. Is this really normal??? Do I really have to put up with this for four more months?? It just don't feel normal to me but I don't know. I can't even sleep, I feel like my ovaries are gonna explode! HELP!

I'm thinking the same thing. I might wait til I get my daughter off to school in the morning as long as it doesn't get any worse.

i have the same thing, i have bacterial vaginosis that has caused irritable uterus and my smurf hurts a lot. i get period type cramps and very uncomfortable. I was hooked up to a contraction belt for about 3 hours and they may feel like contractions but its your uterus having small spasms.

Well, I finally got some much needed sleep last night and I felt a lot better today. Still cramping but not nearly as bad. Guess I will wait it out and see what dr. says next Tuesday.

Yea I would deff go back in.. I'm suprised they did a vaginal ultrasound. I wouldn't let them do that. They tell you no sex but then do that. My Dr wouldn't do a vaginal u/s because of having uterus irritablilty. It doesn't sound right that you're in that much pain you can't sleep. I mean sometimes mine hurt and wake me up but it stops and I go right back to sleep... Good luck girl and I hope evrything goes well at your next appointment.. Remember don't be scared to go to L&D if they get to bad better safe than sorry. You never know when you can be diolating

Yea I thought it was weird they told me no sex, then they exam me twice in two days and then I get a vaginal ultrasound. But I'm feeling so much better today and I hope it stays this way. I'M still achy and it hurts if anything pushes on my stomach or if I bend over. So I'm just trying to avoid that. If it comes back I will definitely be back at the hospital.

Good luck to you.. Just take it easy and don't forget to drink water..Drink it like it's going out of style..lol (I'm not a water drinker so it's hard for me..lol)
