It's not a toddler bed yet so I'm assuming she pulled herself over the rail and fell out.

Maybe you can lower the mattress do she won't be able to fall out again, or if she is old enough switch her to a toddler bed.

is the mattress lowered all the way? Usually when kids can pull themselves over, they may be ready for the next step - toddler bed with a railing? My DD is 2 and she can't pull herself over, but she has tried. We are converting her to a toddler bed soon though. I would say maybe just have her stand by it next to you and just try talking her through it - i can't really think of anything else. She has probably associated her crib with pain now. Maybe let her sleep with a toy or stuffed animal if she's old enough to give her some comfort?

It was all the way down. Lol she's just tall.. Or a monkey.

We were going to change her crib over to a toddler bed but we can't find any allen wrenches that will fit. I'm going to see if my dad one that does!

She just turned 13 months last week. She has stuffed animals but she doesn't really "cuddle" them or find them "comforting" I guess?? They're just kind of 'there' to her. I'm going to try and find the tool tomorrow that will convert it to a toddler bed and just lay in it with her and try and show her that this isn't something to be scared of! i did that with our vacuum and now she isn't scared of it. Lol I really want her to feel comfortable in it again!
