Cream of soup substitutes?

But it calls for a can of cream of chicken and one of cream of mushroom and well, that's a lot of salt. Is there anything I can substitute for it? Or just leave it out? Our even just cut one?

I usually buy low sodium cans. If it calls for two, use one cream of mushroom low sodium and sub the cream of chicken for sour cream  

I would substitute with anything creamy; cream cheese and milk mixture, or heavy cream and seasonings.

you could make your own with broth/ cream/corn starch?

ah i couldnt get the recipe open before, its a chicken casarole thing?

one use said they ditched the cream of mushroom, i would too. gross.

do you have butter, flour & milk? add chicken broth for cream of chicken, or some mushrooms/celery for cream of mushroom/celery soup!

You rock! I've never thought of making my own (which is weird bc I'm big on that kind of thing). I have a crap load of celery right now too. I hate to buy it bc it comes in such a big pack and no one at my house will eat it but me and my rabbit lol. I'm so gonna make some and put it in the freezer

I found the recipe on Pinterest! There is another one, but it has tons of ingredients, and makes a big thing of powdered "cream of ? soup"
