PCOS

can it cause a lighter than normal period? i see everything else but nothing about a lighter than normal period....im trying to self diagnose since i cant go to the dr yet.   i think i have pcos...i have like ALL of the symptoms...but no dr has ever dignosed me with it... 

I am not sure but you don't have to have allll the symptoms to have it. I don't have them all and we are pretty sure I have it. Metformin and birth control helped me get pregnant. My doc didn't say anything about it until I brought it up and he said that he was thinking so and had me make an appt. He didn't even test...just had me start metformin andd b/c then at cd 5 following the 1 month of b/c he had me do opk's for 2 wks. Got my bfp on the opk then bam a week later I got my pg test bfp! no you dont have to have all the symptoms....but shoot it feels like i have all the symptoms, thats what im trying to say...

but i just want to know if PCOS can make you have a lighter period....

with me my periods were always heavier because cysts would build up.

aw man, this sucks balls, i cant get a positive on a pregnancy test and the last 2 periods that showed up on the fourth have been really light....i thought my period was about to flow heavy today when i found a blot of blood...after i wiped it away(about some hours ago) i only still spotting and it seems like it is disappearing like my periods over...i been doing this since 10/4

I would go have blood work done if possible. You could be pregnant and not know it or your body is just having some issues. I feel your pain..my body SUCKS.

i went to the hospital not too long ago and they didnt mention anything about me being pregnant...aamof he told me that i wasnt!   but it wasnt the reason why i went to the hospital...but *sigh* i guess ill leave it alone now

Well if you can get to the doc you should. they can at least get you on the right track if you do have pcos and they can jump start your period if it's needed.

oooo woah nelly! lol im not complaining about it being light lol i just wanna know tha reason why lol and really this last three months have been to closest thing to normal since...EVAR! i was getiing used to my period coming every 2 months..last was aug 4th and then BAM sep fourth i started spotting! i was shocked and excited...thenn i realised it was lighter than it usually is...im usually the human red river tmi lol so i brushed it off...then BAM oct4th i started spotting im totally not used to them coming on the exact same day of every month lol but it turns out this one is light too...shoot the first thing every one goes too is that im pregnant lol but ive heard that before, and always got a big (wha wha whaaaaa *fail music*)

Are you ttc? If not then don't blame you for not worrying but if you are it's important to get everything straight!

but since the insurance kicks in November...im going to wait ONE more month without worrying about it
