I wouldn't have let my Dr induce me, it stressed out my baby and stopped my contractions, and I had to have an emergency c-section after 16hrshrs of labor with a fever that my Dr "didn't know about"which caused an infection.. The first few days were hell my baby was the only thing that kept me from getting depressed.

that's sucky

I wouldn't have gotten the epidural with my 1st. They gave it to me way to early and I had fetal distress and a whole junk load of problems ending in emergency c-section.

Yeah I bet my labor would have been easier if I was never induced. I will wait until I go into natural labor next time.

I wish I wasn't such a pussy with the pain. I got my epi as soon as I walked into L&D... I had a wonderful experience other that being bed ridden for 14 hours. Next time I will walk, use a birthing ball, etc. as long as possible before getting my epi.

With my first I had an emerg. C section so didnt have much choice in tht..but with my second I was told I had to have a repeat c section..and almost did if the guy to give me the epi. Woukd jave actually shown up..i ended up vbac..but the labor was hell so I wish I could have just planned a vbac and had simple pain meds to just cut a bit of the pain..no epi however

I wish that I would have known more options for myself. I wish I would have just stayed at home when I first went into labor because it stopped. But by that point, my water had been breaking and they had given me pit and I got stuck at 6 cm and was in active labor for almost 24 hours, and I was seriously getting so sick from it. And LO started to go into distress and we ended up having an emergency c section. I would change the knowledge I had, and I would have def waited it out. Next time I hope to have a successful natural VBAC when LO is ready.

With my 1st I wish I would have known that I needed to breast feed him as soon as possible after birth and I wouldn't have allowed them to give him a bottle.
With my 2nd I honestly wouldn't have had her dad there. He didn't want to be there at all and made it known. He just stressed me out the whole time. I would have also had someone pick me up instead of driving myself to the hospital while bleeding heavily. And I wouldn't have gotten an epidural. I got it at 9.5 cm (they said I should start pushing) but I was too afraid of the pain.

I wish I knew I had a choice in my care. Wish I would have said no induction as I was only 4 days past my due date according to my med records. would have refused cytotec, water breaking at 1cm dilated and being told I COULD Not get out of bed after that. Was given a small dose of the pit for a short time then was told I had to have a csection. Lost a lot of blood and had 7 units given to me had to be put under daughter got some anesthesia and had to get o2 cuz she couldnt breath was rushed into surgery the next nite for internal bleeding was hospitalized for a full 7 days out for 4 and ended up with bad infection and back in hospital for a week and took almost 3 full months to heal. Yeah I woulda changed the whole thing.

I would have told myself to listen to my gut instead of stubbornly insisting that I would labour the way I had imagined I would. I knew for most women that it's easier to labour in a squat or all four's position so I inisisted on doing that even though the pain was far more intense then my previous ones. I apparently labour easier, faster and more efficiently on my back, weird but true. I should have listened to my gut and gone back to that, never underestimate your gut instinct!

I liked both of my induced labors. The only thing I would change about my second was I wish I would have asked for them to hold off on the pitocin. I'm pretty sure it made my contractions hurt worse. I was already at like, 5cm when I went in. I wanted to walk around when I got there but they hooked me up to the pit so I couldn't go anywhere.

I had an emergency c-section. Yes I would go back if I could. Once I got the spinal I went into a panic attack so they had to give me meds to calm me down and then I got real nauseous so they gave me meds for that too. Needless to say they the medicine knocked me out and I slept through the whole thing. I woke up as soon as they said "It's a boy" and heard Ds's first cry. But I wish I would have been awake through the whole thing.
