What could be the cause.

Hi. I'm Carrie. I was doing some research and decided to ask here.

I have 5 kids. My daughter is 15, Victoria. She started her period when she was 13. She has always had really bad cramps but they seem to have gotten worse the past year. She first off only gets her period every other month most times. When she has her period she gets really bad cramps, they make her sick. The months she doesn't get her period she still gets "cramp" like pains.
Any idea what this could be from?

Possible PCOS??

Has she been to a gynecologist? She may something like endometriosis or PCOS. However a lot of perfectly healthy women have irregular cycles or abnormally long cycles.

I think that's pretty common. But I'd have her see a Gynecologist just to have her checked.

That sounds like what I've dealt with since I started, I have Endometriosis though. I would take her to the Gyno and talk about the possibility.

Not a doc, but maybe PCOS. I was diagnosed around her age because i had really irregular periods and VERY bad cramping when i did get a period. Had an ultrasound and sure enough i had the tell tale "swiss cheese" surface to my ovaries.
