Feed her as much as she will eat. My 7 month old daughter is only drinking a 6 oz bottle now. I thought she would drink more but no she is satisfied with only 6 oz. $ she might need to burp every couple oz. that might be why she is fighting you.

It's not really normal to not spit up, considering..Most babies do. BUT, it's something to be thankful for! Hahah. Feed her what she wants. She knows when she's hungry and when she's not.

I would feed her what she wants, she will tell you when she is done. Babies aren't like us adults, they stop eating when they feel full lol. Fighting how?

is your little girl big for her age? My DD when she was 3 week old was drinking about 100-120ml (3-4oz) per feed every 2 hours, she was 9lb 9oz born. Mentioned to child health nurse as they reckon (from memory ) they should only be having 60-80ml, nurse said it fine that it is because she is a big baby, she drinks what she needs.

just re-read your post, ah your little one is drinking 6oz, but yeah like I said she'll drink what she needs :-)

By a week or so after the birth, newborn babies born at term will generally drink about 150mls per kilogram of body weight, per 24 hours. Therefore, if your baby is about 4 kilograms in weight (or about 4,000 grams) they will drink about:

150mls x 4 kg = 600mls (in a 24 hour period)

from here http://www.birth.com.au/Expressing-milk/Expressing-how-much

11lb is about 5kg so abt 750ml in 24hrs (keeping in mind all babies are different)

750ml is about 25.5 oz
