large blood clots, maybe tmi

I'm 7 weeks PP, had my check up last week and all was fine. I started spotting 2 days ago then full on period. I'm EBF so I wasn't expecting that so soon. As the day went on the blood got heavier and heavier. I soaked a super pad in 90 minutes. About an hour ago the cramping got so bad I threw up. After throwing up the blood started gushing and I got really light headed so I sat on the toilet and I got a cramp that made me feel like I had to push and then I heard something hit the toilet and the cramping was gone. I looked and there were 2 blood clots about the size of an extra large egg. I'm still pretty uncomfortable but the bleeding slowed down. So ummm yeah WTF. Should I give my dr a call tomorrow?

If you don't feel comfortable, you should call your doctor. I'm pretty sure it's normal, but it wont hurt to make sure (:

It was! This is my 4th child and I've never experienced anything like this before, I don't know what the hell just happened.

I would call your OB's after hours line, or L&D. Doesn't sound normal to me at all.

I was kinda thinking that but wasn't sure if I should just wait until the morning. It was pretty scary to be honest. So I'm going to call the after hours line

Just talked to the dr and was told to go straight to the ER, he said it could be a bunch of different things especially since I had my tubes tied the day after giving birth. Well I'll let ya know probably tomorrow.

Well they admitted me to the hospital last night, boooo! After an ultrasound they realized that part of my placenta was retained, so I'll be finding out soon if they're going to be doing a D&C. They have me hooked up to antibiotics because of the risk of infection. I am so glad I came in when I did instead of staying at home and letting things get worse.
