3D Ultrasounds....

I had my anatomy scan with my daughter at 18 weeks and they just gave us a 3D ultrasound, I didn't expect one. I go in next Tuesday for my anatomy scan at 20 weeks and I don't know if they'll do 3D I am going to a different doctor this time around cause we've moved since. Anyways, did your doctor just give you a 3D without asking or is that something you have to request? If so, how much are they extra?

A nurse called me a few weeks ago and gave me my estimate of the cost for delivery and set up monthly payments, she said they only do 3 ultrasounds through out your pregnancy unless more are needed but any I request I have to pay more for. The total they gave me included all co pays, ultrasounds, and 6 weeks post partum check up.

They don't do them at my hospital. We had to find a place in town that did them and it was about $120.

There is no harm in asking, though! When I was pregnant with my daughter they did one for me at 16 weeks.

you are due on my birthday!! I couldnt tell you about that cuz all my prenatal was covered by my insurance 100% and i had six ultrasounds total plus a whole bunch of nsts too

Mine tried to get a 3D picture of my LO at 23 weeks. I hadn't asked for one and I didn't want to see what he looked like until he was born so thankfully he was being bashful and she got a nice 3d image of the back of his head lol

I really want another one with this baby, ill have to ask the ultrasound tech if they do them I know my husband would be pretty upset if we didnt get one.
