Induction so far..

Got to the hospital at 8:30 am, was 2 cm and 50% effaced.
Started a round of Cytotec, have had another since then.
Now have Cervidil until morning so I can maybe get some sleep..still 2 cm and now 75% effaced.
Contractions are weird..some 3 minutes, some 5 apart, some back to back.
We start Pitocin in the morning.

It's been quite the day and tomorrow will be the real work. Just thought I'd update everyone. (:

They used Cytotec?

Medical reasons..

Yeah two or three rounds of the Cytotec today.. I have heard there are risks but unfortunately I didn't have much time to do my research on it. That's over now though, the cervidil is in. The contractions are back to back now, it's so odd.

It's pretty uncomfortable but the doctors are amazing and trying to follow my birth plan really good. They have me on wireless/waterproof monitors. I can sit in the jaccuzzi all day tomorrow even with the monitors and pitocin. Definitely gonna use that!!

I think theyll be inducing me next week, a week before my due date as well. May i ask what the medical reason was? Did it have something to do with fluids in the womb?

I loved the water (I had the wireless/waterproof monitors too). That's wonderful that you get to use them, I don't hear that often from people who are being induced (I shouldn't be the only one).
