For the first time :(

My (almost) 3 year old wants to stay a mawmaw and papa's instead of coming home. Dh and him went down to MIL/FIL's today (an hour away) and when DH said it's time to go home to mommy LO said he wanted to stay there. So, since DH has to go back down there tomorrow anyway, LO is staying the night. I'm happy that he gets to spend some more time with them but I'm also tearing up a bit because he's getting so big and independant!!!

We moved back at the end of June. I dropped him off a few hours before bed so we could unpack the NEEDED items for the night/next day. Well, we ended up leaving him there longer than expected and he ended up sleeping there overnight. It's been good for him. He now stays weekly....usually on the night I work late and go back to work early the next morning. He loves his Nana. He's learning to love staying the night, but is still adjusting to it. Luckily, Nana is only two blocks over in the same trailer park  

I don't mind him staying the night at all, he's donr it 2 or 3 times. It's just different when it's HIS choice I guess, lol. And he didn't have his lovey or blankey but still wanted to stay!
