wanting to be induced.

So I know I probably sound crazy but I want to be induced. Does anyone else feel the same way? I honestly don't like not knowing what day I will go into labor. I'm a control freak when it comes to most things. I hate not having things planned and it all being hectic. I know I don't really have any control over the situation but its hard for me to let go and relax.

I was induced. It was a horrible experience.


I wouldn't recommend it.

If you're really that much of a control freak, motherhood isn't going to agree with you.

No. Sorry, pregnancy and giving birth is not something you can control...

You could have a scheduled induction and go into labor before hand, be told there is no room at the hospital and you have to wait. Or many other things. Labor just isnt predictable.

Good luck trying to control a newborn. And if they have colic, ohhh boy... lol

This is the first of many things in parenthood that you will have no control over. It's kind of something you just have to get used to.

Well my sister was induced and I was there the whole time in the room taking pictures. She hdd no problem but everyone is different.

i'm sort of like that too but i wouldn't get a head of yourself it could happen on it's own try to naturally induce it by walking and sex to soften the cervix!

Shes going to be in shock. To me parenting is the most unpredictable thing ive experienced lol

Induction was miserable. More time in the hospital bed than you'd ever want or need. Contractions are worse too.

Spontaneous labor was much easier. I went to the movies, out to eat, to walmart, and labored at home, in and out of the tub, it was so much better. I never want to be induced again.

I have no problem with not being able to controlling children. I'm not that crazy. I have raised my niece and nephew since they were born.

wow, you raised them by yourself? you have this thing mastered then.

come on guys don't give her such a hard time i'm sure she didn't mean it to that extent. Once the baby is in her arms i'm sure it will all come naturally.

I understand wanting to control everything, really I do but, that's not how life works especially in regards to kids so labor is a nice big wake up call.

it's different when the baby is actually here. trust me on this one.
