MTHFR

My 13 month old has the c677t mthfr mutation. 1 copy of it. We had a consultation with a DAN Dr today, but he said it is too early to do any more testing. Has anyone or their child had this gene mutation? What types of treatments have you tried?

What made you decide to see a DNA doc?

His pediatrician was concerned about his growth and his regression from babbling at 6 months to not babbling anymore and not gaining weight. He also has food allergies.

We see a pediatrician who specializes in autism because Katie is on the spectrum and this doctor is really knowlegable about genetic stuff so she recommended the test.

Oh okay. I remember you saying something about his babbling stopping is it the same now?
