She registered on the autism scale/homeschooling

My almost 8 year old step-daughter "registered" on the autism spectrum. We thought it might be ADHD but it wasnt. My husband and I both knew she had some problems but this explained a vast majority of them, and why she was trying so hard to push me out of her and her fathers life.
More recently she is having a lot of problems in school, almost like she is to far advanced for certain classes and not far enough advanced for others. The simplest of tasks are a challenge; Putting her shoes on, taking a shower, putting everything in her backpack, riding the RIGHT bus home (twice she has gotten on the wrong bus in the last month...) turing in her homework. She can do her homework but she just can not seem to get it turned in. When i talked to her teacher today she had only gotten TWO assignments from Kaya since school stated, the last tuesday in august.
We have weighed homeschooling, thinking it would be good for her, but i just wanted to talk to some other mommas about it and see what they did.

Now that she has been diagnosed, she can get an IEP and have her schooling more geared towards her needs.

I wouldn't pull her out until you at least try this.

Yes, I agree with this. Get an IEP(individualized education plan) you dont have to sign it until you feel it fits your child the best.

And at 8 they should have someone guiding them to the buses IMO. See if there is an aide that can help her or have it put in the IEP she needs to be assisted with that.

Having been in your last topic about her; no I don't believe you should pull her out of school, you should work on getting her an IEP and see how she does with that. I'm not a fan of the way you portrayed your feelings about her in your last thread.

That is fine your not happy about it. And in all honesty if you had been in my shoes, or even hers you might understand, but you are not. As much as everyone said negative things about me, and the way i made the post, pissed me off too dont worry. The internet is a crazy thing and the fact you were not on the other side of this computer freaking out cause you did not know what to do or how to handle the situation, do not judge me on it.

There are bus monitors but its a zoo. I have picked her up from school for the last week because of it.
