Exactly...They can feel if the baby is head down.

He isn't a idiot. You are uncomfortable and that's understandable.

Your doctor isn't stupid, they can tell if the baby is breech just by feeling, and at this time that's all that you need done, most people don't get an ultrasound this far along. Also being in pain is part of pregnancy and you'll just have to get over it, a lot of doctors won't give/do anything because your in pain because it comes along with being pregnant.

All my doctor did was show me stretches and told me to put a pillow between my legs to help with my back and hip pain.

They can tell the position of your baby by feeling. And your LO can still be moving around right now. The end of pregnancy is very uncomfortable and painful so I get what you're going through, but that is also normal. :/

also i know lots of really small people who have delivered vaginally just fine.
everyone else can correct me if i'm wrong but I thought your size doesn't really factor in weather you can deliver vaginally or not?

I honestly think it is not the OBGYN but the patient. When a patient doesn't ask questions or inquire about what the process is or should be then they try and blame the Dr then the patient is the idiot. (IMO)

I have to agree wtih this too a bit.

I so often see people upset because the Dr didn't tell them anything. . . but they didn't ASK anything either. You can't expect your Dr to be psychic and know what you want to know. OP, if you'd explained your concerns to him (like about the ultrasound) he probably would have told you why you didn't need one.

With my daughter, I had 1 ultrasound and that was at 20 weeks.
With my son, in a different state, different midwife, I had an ultrasound at every appointment.
It depends on your Dr.'s office.

As far as the pain goes, the end of pregnancy hurts and it sucks, but it's almost over.

With my first child, he WAS breech and none of the doctors knew, and when it was time to have him, they noticed, and had me STOP to try and get him to rotate, (while im having major contractions and put me on all 4s in this tiny ass hospital bed)
anyways, he was born breech and suffered brain damage because he hit my pelvic bone wayy too hard, and STILL has his harry potter scar....
i can now understand how scared you are.
maybe say something next time?
ask him how he knows, and to just explain it to you, maybe so you feel more at ease.
i personally will never have another baby breech again. i i have always MADE SURE the doctor knew so before labor.

Yeah love, I'm sorry. That's pregnancy. It really sucks a lot of times =( There just isn't much else to say. It really hurts and there isn't much they can do.
