Yes but it's still something that she can fix if she ever really felt the need to. Also there's the fact that it's a little heart, it's not like she tattooed a giant dragon on the girls face or something.

Babies scream in pain during ear piercings... that hurts too. The 11 year old asked for it. She knew it hurt. And a small outline of a heart probably didn't hurt all that bad.

she should not have to do that, her mother should have been smart enough to not do that to her.

My point here is that not putting people in jail for doing those things doesn't mean everyone is going to start doing them. Why do you equate punishment with incarceration? As someone with a degree in Criminal Justice and some common sense, I can tell you that putting everyone in jail for everything - like the US is keen on doing - doesn't work.

Stop trying to push this woman in jail... her child is healthy and happy and not abused. Did the woman break the law? Yeah, and she should be punished but not with jail time, at all.

I never said I wanted her in there for a year or years and years. But she needs to be punished and made an example of.

and you're talking to a person with a smurf load of tattoos...
people take pain a lot differently. I have seen grown ass men who can bench 300lbs pass out from the pain.

Yeah and she most likely never will. It's a little heart by her shoulder, I highly doubt she'll ever feel the need to not have it. She'll probably look at it and chuckle at how stupid she was when she was 11. However if her mom gets put in jail over it she'll probably look at it and feel guilty for asking her mom to do something that got her put in jail.

She is a little too excited about this one, I think...
