Worried about leaving LO....

So on the 19th I have to have surgery. Nothing major. Just a quick procedure but since I will be under anesthesia I have to wait 24 hours to nurse LO, apparently.

He has never had a bottle so this is becoming a challenge.
I have brought a bottle to work with me every day (he comes to work with me) and had a co worker try to feed him. It has failed every time. I have tried to feed him myself, too and it's not working.

He is tongue-tied and I'm wondering if this is why he can't take a bottle? Or would he not be able to nurse, either if that was the problem? He nurses just fine.
I'm really worried that for the 24 hours, he won't be able to eat anything and he will be miserable... but it's not something that I can put off.  

Try different bottles (of bm I'm assuming) and are you leaving the room when someone else tries? My LO would only take the medium flow orthodontic nipple with the playtex drop ins and he would really only drink about 3 oz my entire 8 hr shift. That last bit doesn't help you much since you'll not be nursing an entire 24 hr period, sorry.

I was able to nurse when i woke up.

I dont think you have to wait. I have never heard that before and most woman I have talked to nursed within a couple of hours or so right after they woke up.
