Mirena users (?) for ya

So I made a post a couple hours ago about being able to feel the plastic of my mirena. About an hour ago I felt an intense amount of pressure and it felt like my body was pushing it out. So I went into the bathroom to pee and felt my strings were just chilling in my vag, so I pulled it and outcomes my mirena. I have some light bleeding and very minimal cramping. My question is I tried calling my dr when I started feeling the pressure and felt the plastic, but their phones arent working so I was gonna go to the er. But now that it's come out I think I could just wait and call my dr again tomorrow. Do you guys think that's a good idea? My so is telling me I should go to the er to make sure my uterus isn't smurfed lol.

This, I highly doubt your uterus is "smurfed" but even if it was the ER really couldn't help much. Just wait and call your OB tomorrow.

If I start bleeding more can I use tampons? Probably a stupid question, but I haven't used them since I got the mirena because my doctor told me me mirena strings could get stuck on the tampon and could come out lol. So now I don't have that problem I just wanna make sure it's ok.

I have never heard that. I used tampons when i was on mirena.

I've used tampons the whole time I've had my mirena and haven't had a problem so I don't see why not.

I haven't had this issue before, but just wait to call your doctor, they may re-insert a new one. There may be underlying reasons why your body rejected it or it may have been placed wrong. Just wait until tomorrow and explain that you felt it come loose and it was bothersome so you took it out because it was practically out already. The ER isn't going to do anything really because they don't have the paperwork to go with how it was placed or the doctor's notes. Your uterus should be okay it is probably just tender from the mirena moving.
