Don't forget fat maternity pads. I took crappy little ones cos I didn't realize what the PP period would be like and had to ask the nurse for some.

Mine lasted 6 weeks but it was only really really heavy for the first couple, after that it was like a normal period and slowly got lighter until it stopped. I did bleed really heavily though, I had the kinda pads on that make you feel like you had a rolled up towel in between your legs, but they served their purpose at the time lol

It usually last upto 6 weeks but can vary in women.

Get some really big comfy pants too, like the sort of ones your granny wears. My underwear draw was mostly little shorts and thongs.... I was so thankful that I went out and bought big pants, you need comfort and something to hold the pad in place!!

Take a few changes of underwear and clothes just in case you bleed through, I did and it wasn't pretty, it might not happen but it's better to be safe than sorry!

Ohhh man, I can barely go a week of a period let alone 6 weeks lol. But its worth it.. I have a crap load of sweats Thats all I can really wear right now. I didnt buy any maternity clothes but shirts.. I got yoga pants and really baggy sweats.. Lol..

My sister said that she blead but never told me how long she did.. She said she just used the hospital pads while she was there and they gave her some to take home plus she was in there longer than I will be.. Boys have to sit in longer than girls do I guess..

I'm still soooo not ready to wear huge pads for 6 weeks.. Do u have to wear pads the whole 6 weeks or when it gets lighter can u wear tampons or is there something about the labor that sayys no??

I'm soo new at this and idk It's a weird topic I guess...

I stopped the really heavy bleeding at about a week and by the 3rd week regular pads arnt even really needed but I spot every now and then. I only had to use the hospital giant pads for the 3 days I was in there and then used overnight pads for the next week and regular ones now but I'm thinking I can go down to just liners now. They told me nothing vaginal for 6 weeks so no tampons sorry

I bled for four weeks. And it was SUPER heavy the first two weeks. Definitely take back up clothes. I bled through on the only pajamas I took, so I had to wear them. But also, my hospital gave me a diaper type thing... it was great.

Don't worry it differs you could be lucky and it'll only last a couple of weeks. The nurse said usually the heavier the periods the heavier the loss will be after. I used to get super heavy periods before I fell pregnant so I guess my body was just making up for 9 months of nothing.
No tampons for the first 6 weeks as it increases the risk of infections, beside you really won't wanna be putting anything up there for a while anyways lol.

baby nail clippers or files or the baby mittens or extra baby socks so that baby doesnt scratch him/herself they usually are born with some sharp little nails and most hospitals don't provide clippers
