Not wanting to be induced.. soo...

My doctor wants to induce me on the 19th (my due date is the 25th) but i dont want this to happen. This is my first baby and i have been trying really hard to be as healthy and do things as naturally as possible, but my body decided to throw a wrench in the works and develop gestational diabetes. He is on track for growth, not to big or to small, and i am dilated to a 1 as of 2 weeks ago and i have been having a decent amount of light contractions. I go in 2 times a week for non-stress tests and everything is going alright with those. My question is what can i do to get this show on the road before they induce me? Or at least be able to skip being given pitosin? All i have heard is that i should walk a ton.

Unless they think it's going to hurt the baby, I would just refuse the induction if you don't want it. Idk about having GD though.

But, lots and lots of sex and walking... they say eating spicy foods helps but idk lol.

You can refuse induction.
But since you have GD, idk if I would.

See if your OB will break your water and let your body go into labor naturally.
If problems arise after that then consider pitocion.

I have GD too and I'm being induced as well. I wouldn't refuse it. The reason they want to induce early for GD is because you have a higher risk of still birth (not to scare you)...I'd say if you haven't gone into labor naturally by the date they want to induce you, you should go ahead with it.

Accupunture can sometimes jumpstart labore esp because u have a good reason...

I wasn't sure why they induce cause of GD.

I wouldnt refuse the induction, id just like to go into labor on my own!

Look up accupressure points on youtube, if u can't do or find some1 to do the accupuncture...

Lots and lots of sex helps soften your cervix ( will help if you get induced too) , walking, cleaning, I wrote a list of stuff I wanted to do before I went into labour the day I finished my list, I was tired and went to bed at 7pm and woke up in active labour at 2am lol.
