Sorry, but I'm really not interested in hearing about how much you dislike your BD. I know a lot of mamas are not on good terms with their child's father.


Anyways.


Were you two dating before you had your LO? Did you break up and decide to still be friends? Or was the break up rough?
Were you just friends before your LO?

Did you guys go to court for visitation and such? Was it civil? Is everyone happy?
Are you two still close?

BD and I get along AWESOME. I even love his girlfriend  

We dated for about 2 weeks before I got pregnant. I left him when I was 9 weeks. Didn't speak to him until Cora was anout 2 weeks old.

Since then, we've just become good friends.

We've never been to court. We work out our own schedules and stuff and there is very little drama


It's a really good situation for everyone

We're still married, we have two kids, now, and he's pretty great.

Aww this makes me really happy lol. I like the idea of just working a schedule out with each other, because that's what we will be doing until a problem comes up (and I don't think it will). Does he give you child support?

I'm happy for you. But that wasn't really what I was asking lol. I was asking about mamas who are single or have been remarried/moved on with another guy (or girl), and what their relationship is like with their child's father.

He didn't for a long time

He just started last month, and it's significantly lower than what the court would demand BUT he buys everything for Cora. New clothes, shoes, a humidifier, everything. I never have to ask him for anything twice. He just does it

I'm on SSD (disability for life)

Well my BD and I were together for 4 years. It's kinda off and on with us, after he broke up with me in Auguse after we TTC for our 2nd baby. I'm having a hard time being FRIENDS with him, but he's still a decent dad and we haven't had to go to court or anything and don't really plan on it right now. I'm still pretty bitter about our break up but I still love him. I try to get by decently.

We still live together (not because we chose that) so it's hard for us to NOT get a long bc our first born is starting to understand.

But all in all, we get a long fine. I still care about him. And we can still go and do normal things with our daughter like the park or pumpkin patch, and he goes to all my dr appts with me. If we do not end up back together we will end up really good friends.

My friend is always going through messy-drama-crap with her BD. Its sad, its been going on for 3 yrs and they still can't be civil.

We get along great now...

he stopped acting like he deserved to be in deans life just because he ejaculated in me lol

I stopped taking everything as a personal attack against me...

he realized his parents are smurfen brain dead...

I had to get over and get past everything he didi while I was pregnant and how he treated us after I had Dean.


Now he even agreed to get him every other weekend when the court docs say that david gets him 3 weekends a month and I only got him 1 weekend...

He came to the gastroschisis awareness ca reunion, to support dean and other babies born like him,

He even came to my other sons bday party because it was his weekend to take him and we did party at last minute, so he let dean go to partu nd he showed up with a gift and hung out with the fam...

Just this past year we have stareted to talk and get along we are very respectful of eachother, *something we never had before* now we even text every othe day about how deans doing * he just got diagnosed with adhd and just started meds* so everyday there's. Something that happens...
