xmas presents

My baby will only be like, 2 months old when christmas hits...do I get him presents?? What would I get him besides baby stuff that he will need??? It's not like he can actually open presents at that age so does it even matter? lol we're gonna be traveling so if I don't really need to spend the money on a bunch of presents it would be nice to save it, not like he'll remember it.

I'd get him one or 2 "presents" after all it is his first Christmas =3

I personally wouldn't buy anything unless he needed it.

DS was 3 months last Christmas. I didn't get him anything...Other people got him stuff and it's always awkward because SO or I have to open them and it's not like DS could have been like "Oh wow thank you" lol

My son will be here before christmas so I'm thinking I'll just buy him a few books for his first christmas so I can read to him.

Give lots of milk :]…I didn't get my son anything last Christmas he was 6 weeks. He was happy to stare at shiny Christmas ornaments ...and everyone else bought him a TON of presents....
This year I'm making him things...like hulk diapers and a Teddy bear...and another teething necklace

DD will be six months at Christmas im giving her lots but its all stuff i already have she has tons of clothes that im just going to wrap so i have pictures lol also diapers and wipes plus some toys that a friend gave me im not buying anything i dont have the money and she doesnt need anything  

I'm getting my baby girl a stocking with like teether toys and little stuff like that just in a stocking.

I got both kids clothes, a stuffed animal (my daughter is 2 and still sleeps with the bear every night), and a special book. Nothing big, but there were presents under the tree.

I was days old my first christmas and my parents got me christmas presents so they could take pictures and stuff and have the memory of the first christmas even though I was so young

Id get him something, maybe just get a Babys First Christmas ornament and wrap it up. Hallmark had really cute snow globe ornaments with baby names on them a few years back.

we got my son some little toys and pjs (he was 11 months though at christmas)

Ok thanks ladies!! I think I know what we'll get him now, and then I'll let everyone else also give presents if they like. You guys were really helpful!

yeah i think relatives etc will probably supply all the presents needed! If you are not in a situation where that will happen than I would purchase something useful that you need (highchair, bigger carseat etc) that you don't have yet and maybe something sentimental like an ornament for the tree that symbolized the occasion.
