if you got MARRIED...

If you got married, what time line did you use to kind of start buying things, etc?
How many months out did you start getting things? The bigger things? Your dress? Etc.

Im not married yet but we are getting married in the spring...
I bought my dress in September bc they said it could take up to 16 weeks to get in after being ordered and I am doing bridal portraits 3 months before the wedding so I needed extra time. Im not buying anything else really bc its a destination wedding (Disney world!) but we will be doing all the planning on a trip there 6 months out from the wedding, picking flowers, food, music etc...

lol I got married a week after my husband proposed. We had a small wedding at my parents restaurant and my dress was bought at Charlotte Russe in the mall, it was a beautiful wedding and small just like we wanted.

Bought my dress in february....picked it up a few days before my wedding in june (had a few fittings in between because i was pregnant)..actually found out i was pregnant the DAY after i bought my dress!
we planned our whole wedding in 3 months..with the last month being when most of the stuff was done. We had a backyard wedding with a tent, a dj, we set up chairs to have an isle. Everythign was gorgeous. The judge married us. It was a fantastic time

I bought a lot of our decorations (our colors were white and red) after Christmas and Valentines day. We were married on March 11th!
I even bought my bridesmaids and flower girls dresses then too! Up side, I got everything for 50% off or more!

I started buying all my stuff 3 months before the wedding. Most dress places where I'm from want at least 8 weeks to alter a dress. So I would def look into getting one at least 3 months before the wedding or even earlier. I lucked out mine fit perfectly no alterations needed.
