no, I said she was a slut. and you were trying to compare OPs feelings with your dirtball "friend" who ran from guy to guy to get her boy. I would say OP is nowhere near the same situation what-so-ever! You shared the story to compare OP in some aspect and the only thing I picked up from it was your pal is a dirtball

THAT'S where it goes a bit too far! If OP was saying that I certainly would not be defending her as I am. We are all different and we all have different feelings, thoughts, beliefs and thank goodness for that! How boring would this thread be if we all agreed  Bottom line. OP you're not a bad person at all!!! 

That is what I thought, "everything happens for a reason" maybe it's not time for me to have a boy just yet, and you all are right, I can always try again in the future for a little boy. I knew that there was a chance that I could have a girl but my heart, as i said before, was set on a boy. It also kind of stings that me and and 4 other friends of mine got pregnant around the same time and are due in the same month, they are all having boys and I am the lone ranger who got a girl out of us all lol. I'd rather acknowledge my feelings with anyone and everyone I can relate it to instead of holding it in, which would not help me out in the long run. It's not that I'm not thankful or happy, a baby is a blessing no matter the gender, it's just a matter of pushing through and getting past the disappointment. Just looking for support that is all and thank you to those that are giving it.

A little tip for the future dont be set on a gender you will only be jinxing yourself. Instead say I will be happy either way and aknowledge both genders not just one. God bless and congrats!

Enjoy your baby. You will warm to the idea soon. Just go shopping for girl clothes. Lol
And, when she is hear you will be ecstatic.

I think it's normal to want one or the other. I wanted a girl but I was convinced a boy, so I accepted and was happy with it. I would never vocalize wanting a girl much-my dad wanted me to be a boy and I heard about it my whole life-and it's not nice for a kid to hear!!!! Anyway it was a girl anyway but still I would take any kind of baby.

i had my heart set on a boy my whole life
i was sooo sure i'd have a boy
all my friends are boys! i'm a huge tomboy, my life's passion is sportsbikes!
and then... at a 8 week ultrasound, i heard there were two babies in there!

i was so sure they were boys. or that, at least one would be a boy!
nope, both girls.
i was dissappointed. i asked them to check at the next ultrasound. still: two girls!

i can't imagine it any other way now, than with my sweet little baby girl monkeys
