Do you think that you can't find those qualities in a younger man? (beside the gray hair part lol) I'm having a debate with my sisters and they think women who like older mean (talking about a 8+ year difference) have "daddy issues". I'm saying is purely preference. Which is it for you?

The friend I am talking about has known the older man for 7 years now. They have been friends for a long time and she said that it just happened that they fell for eachother.

I was 24 and my now husband was 18 when we started dating. I knew him when he was 15 but he didn't start hanging out with our group of friends until he was 17.

When he asked me out, we thought the age difference might be a problem... but it never was.

Preference. My relationship with my daddy is just fine.

Most men my age (26) are way too immature for me. There is always something about them that is a turn off. Either they love going out way too much, are a liberal, or do not have a stable career.

Like I said, before DH, my relationships were with men in their late 30's (I got married at 21) and I honestly preferred the sex with them more than even DH. They are more willing to concentrate on what you want rather than getting off themselves. They also last a lot longer (not necessarily because they want to).

When I was 30 I dated a 50 year old lol..I am 35 and my husband is 47..I love older men love love love LOL..plus it gets entertaining sometimes!!..Especially when we talk about the 80s..I always ask him so hey you want a pair of the short shorts with tube socks!! He just looks at me LOL..or honey did you ever rock out to WHAM with the pink shorts..ohhhh cracks me up

If DH and I split I think the oldest I could go is 30, I'm 23.

DH is only a year and 2 months older than I am, but in the past I've gone for guys who were 2-8 years older than me.

I'm boring yet still young, I feel like if I went much older than 30 we wouldn't have much in common. Of course old doesn't mean boring, but I like to be spontaneous at times. Most older men are set in their ways and stick to routines, lol.

I am 22 and DH is 28 now. I have been with him since I was 14 and he was 20. *shrugs* it is what it is. We just celebrated 8yrs and haveing our 3rd child almost 4 months ago. Our relationship is more loveing and mature now than when we first met, I am a very blessed woman.

I really don't have a opinion on this other than, Be with who you love AND who loves you, that's all that matters....not the age.

i think 5 years older is perfect.

No, of course not, but I believe it is commonly the case. I just think it's super creepy when one partner is old enough to have a child the same age as the other person.

When I was single I typically dated older people, not a huge difference. I say, if you have a connection, why deny something that could turn into the best relationship of your life? Even though, my sister who is 22 years old is going after some guy she works with who is 42 years old. (the only reason why I am against this is he sexually harassed me multiple times and left a very dirty message on my voice mail. She knows all of this but continues to pursue him because of her insecurities)

and this is one reason why I think Statutory rape is BS in most cases!! Alot of times it works out, they truly love each other..

I don't care about other people's relationships but for myself I wouldn't be able to have more than like, a 15 year age gap. Just because I'm still young and pretty immature for my age. My DH is 8 1/2 years older and it's tough sometimes. I generally like older men though.

LOL..there is no daddy issues for me..I know that is an excuse for society to use..I am not saying anything bad on what you believe!! ..I just have always liked older men, my hubby is 47 and I am 35

Every time I found myself being attracted to a guy, its always been a guy atleast 5 yrs older than me. Like, I wouldn't chose a guy based on his age but everytime I found myself attracted to a guy they always turn out to be older, lol Idk why that is.
