Is there a problem that would have made being at home unbearable or unsafe?

O good lord. She cant force you into anything. But you should go home. Running away isnt the answer. What about the rest of school your life?

I'd be a bit upset about a 22 year old sleeping with my 16 year old too, to be honest. But if you think it's best for you not to be at home, I guess it's what you gotta do. Your parents can still press charges even if you're not home, only now he can get it for kidnapping too, even if you went willingly if they want to be asses they can pin it on him.

In some states, 16 is the legal age of consent, so even if they wanted to, they couldnt arrest him. At this age, you need the support of your parents especially if you're pregnant. Give them the benefit of the doubt before you assume that they wouldnt want to be there for you. Im not doing to lie, they might be angry and disappointed, but even thats better than just running away from home.

She's still a minor until she's 18.

Give them a chance. I know it's scary telling them at such a young age, but they'll either support you or not, and right now.....it might not sound like it to you, but take it from a bunch of mothers..for her to file a missing persons report. They want you home and safe! They might get a little pissed at first, but it sounds like they really care about you. Just go home and give them a chance.

Sounds like they are acting like any other good parent would. go home and take responsibility for what you have done

Well, there's a difference in being a minor and the age of consent. I have no idea what it is for texas though. :/

You have to be 18 to leave home?

Yes you are still considered a minor. But when I ran away from home at 16 the cops told my parents they couldn't do anything because I was able to "do what I wanted" pretty much. lol

I just turned 16 last week and Im 8 weeks pregnant they can still have him arrested. I dont want to go back home at all. I like it where I am and Im an adult thats taking care of myself. My boyfriend loves me and is doing all he can to make sure Im happy. We'll raise the baby together on our own

A lot of time age of consent has like a 3 or 4 year gap and after that it's still illegal I think.

If you dont want to go back, thats up to you, but you should at least tell them you're pregnant. That's their grandbaby. :/

You're not an adult. You need to finish school and have a stable home. I think you're just freaking out your parents will be mad but I don't think they will press charges if you try to explain what happened.
